Day 1: Arrival in Tunis and free day

Day 2: The Treasures of Tunis

Explore the must-see attractions of Tunis, starting with the famous Medina, a labyrinth of picturesque alleys full of craft shops, traditional cafes, and beautiful mosques. Continue your visit by discovering the fascinating remains of the Carthage archaeological site, which will immerse you in the ancient history of this legendary city. End the day with a visit to Sidi Bousaid, a white village with blue doors overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 3: From Testour to Kairouan

Leave Tunis to explore the Andalusian town of Testour, known for its Hispano-Moorish architecture and its famous octagonal minaret. Then, head to Dougga, an impressive archaeological site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can admire the well-preserved ruins of an ancient Roman city. Continue your journey to Kairouan, the fourth holiest city in Islam, where you will stay in a 5-star hotel on a half-board basis.

Day 4: Discovery of Kairouan and Sbeitla

Explore the treasures of Kairouan by visiting the Great Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, as well as the Barber Mausoleum and the splendid Aghlabid basins. Then, set out to discover the archaeological site of Sbeitla, which houses remarkable Roman ruins. Continue your journey to Tozeur via Gafsa and settle into your 4-star hotel for the night.

Day 5: Mountain Oases and Star Wars Settings

Explore the stunning landscapes of western Tunisia by boarding a 4×4 to discover the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza, which will dazzle you with their natural beauty. Continue to Mides and visit the famous Mos Espa setting used in the Star Wars film, crossing the salt lake of Chott El Gharsa. Don’t miss the Basket of Nefta, a true botanical treasure. Day 6: The Gateway to the Desert and a Night in the Tent

After breakfast, don’t miss the short trip through the alleys of the old medina of Tozeur. Then, continue your road trip to Douz, the gateway to the desert.
Cross Chott Djerid, the largest salt lake in North Africa, and when you arrive in Douz, enjoy a good meal in a local restaurant.
Continue to Ksar Ghilane, the oasis famous for its natural hot spring! Enjoy a short swim and perhaps a camel ride or quad bike ride at sunset (extra).
Settle into the camp and watch the preparation of sand bread (Bedouin bread cooked under sand and embers). Enjoy a local dinner, an evening around the campfire, and a night in a tent under the stars.

Day 7: The Berber Villages of Tataouine and a Night in a Berber Ksar

The road trip continues, and the landscapes keep changing! Now you leave the Erg (sand desert) to discover the Reg (rock desert) on the way to Tataouine. Head to Chenini, the Berber village, and explore it in detail with a local guide. Hike for about 40 minutes. Discover houses carved into the mountain wall, visit the granary, and admire the view from the top of Chenini! Visit the mosque of the 7 sleepers and enjoy a good Tunisian couscous!
Discover Ksar Hadada, one of the Star Wars filming locations, visit Ksar Ouled Soltane, and head to Ksar Jouamaa, where you will spend the night.

Day 8: The Troglodyte Village and the Island of Dreams

Our road trip takes us today to Djerba, the island of dreams. But long before that, we will visit the troglodyte village of Matmata.
Visit Sidi Idriss, the hotel used for the filming of Star Wars (House of Lars). Immerse yourself in local life and visit a Berber family in a troglodyte house. This family will welcome you with a plate of olive oil and honey, a glass of Rosemary tea, and homemade bread. Enjoy a stop to admire the panoramic view of the village of Toujane and head to Djerba via the Roman Road.
Lunch and visit Guellela, the pottery village, the oldest synagogue in North Africa, and the alleys of Djerba Hood famous for graffiti!

Day 9: From Djerba to Sousse through El Jem

Leave the island of Djerba by ferry and head to El Jem, where you will visit the famous Roman colosseum and the archaeological museum. Then, head to Sousse, where you will spend the night in a 4-star hotel.

Day 10: Sousse and Hammamet with a Wine Tasting

Explore the Sousse Medina further, soak up local history at the archaeological museum, and enjoy the beauty of Port El Kantaoui. Then, head to Hammamet to discover its picturesque old Medina. Enjoy a wine tasting at a local vineyard, accompanied by lunch. Return to Tunis and check into your 4-star hotel for the night.
