Market visit and grill

Visit the fish market of Houmt Souk and select fresh local fish that you will have grilled for your lunch in a picturesque restaurant.

The day begins with a transfer from your hotel at 09:00 to take you to Houmt Souk, the charming capital of the island.

Once there, take the time to explore the covered souk and the large pottery square before venturing into the colorful market. Stroll through the fruit and vegetable market, then head to the spice market to delight in intoxicating scents.

Don’t forget to stop at the fish market and discover a unique auction method. Contemplate the abundance of freshly caught local fish, all available for purchase.

Immerse yourself in the lively crowd and watch as traders exchange their catches to get the best fish.

Browse the selection of fish and choose your favorite (1 or 2 fish that you will pay for yourself, for an amount of approximately €5). Then, head to the nearby restaurant with your fish, where the chef will grill your selection on charcoal.

Enjoy your fish lunch accompanied by a delicious Tunisian salad and a refreshing soft drink (this time, it’s on us!).

Once satisfied and with memories of a unique experience, we will comfortably take you back to your hotel.
